At the end of October, we were blessed to be able to learn a new skill, one that we can hopefully pass on to many families in the townships around us! Namely, growing sustainable vegetable gardens! 🌽🌽 The training was conducted by an organization called “Farming God’s Way“. They believe that “Farming God’s Way is part of God’s solution for Africa, where it can be turned around from being the “begging bowl” to the “breadbasket of the world”.
“Farming God’s Way is simply a tool of equipping to empower the poor to help themselves.”
Using a variety of vegetable seedlings, a little “Garden of Faithfulness” can feed a family with an array of veggies for three months! “The Gardens of Faithfulness program is a Farming God’s Way initiative to be able to equip the poor on a very small scale, especially in urban and peri-urban areas, where space is very limited.”
If you desire to empower those around you with the ability to grow vegetables to feed themselves & their families, we recommend you check out the Farming God’s way website!
