Gogo (Grandma in isiZulu) N. is one phenomenal grandma! Upon visiting her one day, she was walking over very rough, rocky “roads” with a 5-litre bucket of water on her head. After she had sat down and recovered her breath we discovered she makes the long walk to fetch water 5-6 times a day.
Since her daughter and son-in-law passed away due to AIDS, she has taken care of her seven grandchildren and one great-grandbaby single-handedly. However, whenever we talk with her she exudes thankfulness and a love for Jesus.
When our ministry partner heard she was experiencing a lot of rain in her shack due to large holes in the roof, he kindly offered to pay for a tarp to help keep out the rain. Upon going to the hardware store, he noted a large water tank displayed at the entrance. It was a divine appointment…after some planning & shopping around, he ended up purchasing Gogo N. a new water tank!
Seeing her granddaughter a couple of weeks later, she expressed with a huge smile that the tank has completely changed their lives! We love how the Holy Spirit moves in amazing ways to bless His children!
