May was a marvelous month, filled with many testimonies of the Lord’s provision! We continued to see the Lord provide for blankets through several generous donors. Due to these donations, we were able to distribute over 90 blankets (lovely, warm, double blankets)! Over 94 orphans received blankets; as sometimes up to four children share a bed, they were happy to share a blanket too. Several homeless individuals received blankets as well. Blankets were given out in some of the roughest townships in Johannesburg, where the need is greatest.
It was also amazing to be able to support these same children and individuals with mealie meal (a food stable); over 400 pounds of food and hygiene staples were distributed to those in need.
The need is so great at this time, especially due to the lockdown causing a huge increase in unemployment. Your continued support is therefore greatly appreciated!
