In working with a social worker from one of the free clinics in a vulnerable area, we learned of many families that were headed by single grandparents taking care of their grandchildren. In all of these families, the children’s parents have either passed away, are incarcerated, or have abandoned their children due to drug use.
The grandparents who are not able to work themselves due to disabilities and lack of jobs find it very hard to care for the children and provide them with regular healthy food. We were super blessed by a donation from one of our ministry partners to be able to provide these families with food supplies to help them during this hard time. They were incredibly grateful for this blessing.
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (Matthew 25:40)
