It is amazing how God connects people together. One relationship leads to another and in the end, connections are formed that led to blessings coming to fruition and God’s will being accomplished. One such connection came through Ryan’s gym…they heard we worked with orphanages and wanted to help raise funds for a children’s home in need of Christmas gifts.
As it was already close to Christmas all of the organizations we support already had gifts in place (yay!), so, we reached out to IRIS Footprints, a home which we had connected with previously. Footprints expressed how they were still struggling to get support for their Christmas gifts. We were delighted to be able to help, so through the support of the gym member’s donations and other private donations, we had some fun last-minute Christmas shopping to do!
It is such fun shopping for kid’s gifts! Soccer balls, netballs, footballs, makeup, puzzles, sand toys, marbles, playing cards, fun music toys….we carefully matched up each gift for each child, praying that they will be blessed and receive what they both needed and desired.
As is says in Matthew 6:26, we just need to have faith and trust in the Lord that He will take care of the little ones He loves, ensuring that they have all they need and more and then be ready to take the opportunities as they came across our path to help Him see His desires accomplished!
“Look at the birds in the sky. They don’t plant or harvest or gather food into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. You are more valuable than they are, aren’t you?” Matthew 6:26
