When schools close for the holidays, many underprivileged children struggle to receive food from an alternative source on a consistent basis. Additionally, in the settlements, during the holiday season, the level of alcohol abuse also rises, which leaves little to no money for food for the children who need it the most.
We were super blessed to be able to provide food parcels for over 60 Bokamoso children and their family members. Parcels filled with nutritious, protein-filled food. Our prayer is that this will help nourish and sustain the children over the upcoming weeks until school food programs resume.
The children were also very eager to receive a little comic stylebook on “The Most Important Story Ever Told”…we pray that this story will open up their hearts to the good news of God’s love for them.
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26-27)
